ANOCA Zone VI Workshop Inspires Change as Eswatini Proudly Hosts Regional Leaders

Delegates from 10 African countries gathered in Matsapha, Eswatini for the ANOCA Zone VI Regional Workshop on Olympic Values Education and Clean Sport, held from 27 to 30 October 2025. The workshop serves as a collaborative platform to strengthen the promotion of the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship, and Respect across the Zone VI region.

Officially opened by Honourable Bongani Nzima (MP), Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs of Eswatini, the workshop underscores the collective effort of Zone VI nations to advance education, fair play, and ethical leadership through sport. The Minister commended the regional initiative as a vital investment in youth empowerment and social development through the Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP).

The workshop brings together educators, youth leaders, and sports administrators from across the Zone, equipping them with practical skills to promote Olympic values and safeguard integrity in sport. It also highlights ANOCA Zone VI’s growing commitment to clean sport, safe sport environments, and regional collaboration.

Representatives from key regional and continental organisations are participating, including Lisungu Banda from AUSC Region 5, Faku Masupha (OVEP Facilitator), Malebo Raditladi (Safe Sport Task Team), Andrew Kamanga (RADO Zone VI Manager), and Botsang Tshenyego, who attended on behalf of the President of ANOCA Zone VI.

ANOCA Zone VI extends its appreciation to the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) for its outstanding organisational leadership and hospitality, which have made this workshop a resounding success. The event not only strengthens capacity across member nations but also reaffirms the Zone’s dedication to using sport as a vehicle for education, unity, and positive change in Africa.
