The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) takes pride in the academic and professional strides of its Chief Executive Officer and ANOCA Zone VI Secretary General, Mr. Maxwell Jele, who has departed for Switzerland to complete the final phase of his Master’s in Executive Sports Management (MEMOS) programme.
While in Lausanne, at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Headquarters, Mr. Jele will defend his dissertation titled “The Route to Attaining Eswatini’s First Olympic Medal”. This research project not only reflects his personal academic journey but also speaks directly to the ambitions of EOCGA and the broader Zone VI sports movement.
MEMOS is a prestigious, internationally acclaimed programme run by the University of Ottawa in partnership with the IOC, designed to equip sports administrators with advanced leadership and management skills. Mr. Jele stands among 35 elite sports professionals from around the world who make up the current cohort, underscoring both Eswatini’s and Zone VI’s recognition on the global sporting stage.
This milestone is a proud moment for Zone VI, as it highlights the region’s growing leadership in international sports management and governance. Mr. Jele’s work is not only beneficial to Eswatini but also serves as a guiding light for the Zone, offering strategies and inspiration for member countries to develop sustainable pathways for athletes to succeed internationally.
