ANOCA ELECTORAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Additionally, with the Youth Olympic Games set to take place in Dakar in 2026, the assembly provided an opportunity to discuss preparations for this significant event. Leaders emphasized the importance of youth engagement in sports and the role of these games in inspiring the next generation of athletes. Recognizing the growing influence of technology in sports, discussions included the integration of Esports and Artificial Intelligence.

Leaders explored how these innovations could enhance training, athlete performance, and fan engagement, ultimately transforming the sports landscape in Africa. The assembly also focused on the critical issue of doping in sports, with presentations on the initiatives led by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Participants discussed the importance of maintaining integrity in sports and the collaborative efforts needed to combat doping at all levels.
